50. YUNGMORPHEUS – Burnished Sums

YUNGMORPHEUS – Burnished Sums cover

Talent from Miami YUNGMORPHEUS has been one of our favorite artists for a while now. Last year he released the Deluxe version of the album Bag Talk, produced the album Slang Casino for Obijuan, and released the project Up Against the Wall; A Degree of Lunacy, on which beats were taken care of by Theravada. At the end of the year, he released the Burnished Sums EP. You can anticipate six perfect tracks followed by three clips. The beats picked for the project are again amazing with great samples, and the artist enriches those beats with his deep lyrics and calm flows.

49. RRR – RRR: The Album

RRR – RRR: The Album cover

Starker, YL, and zoomo released the joint project RRR: The Album last year. Few people can capture the atmosphere of New York as well as the three artists mentioned above. Their mutual chemistry is absolutely perfect, and in the space of twenty-three minutes, they come up with so many ideas that it would be enough for three more records.

48. Jae Skeese & Big Ghost LTD – Authenticity Check

Jae Skeese & Big Ghost LTD – Authenticity Check cover

Jae Skeese is a Buffalo rapper who released the album W.A.C.K. (Women, Alcohol, Cash, and Kicks) in 2010. He is now signed to Drumwork Music Group, the label of rapper Conway The Machine from the infamous Griselda. Authenticity Check is the third project produced by Big Ghost LTD, and the artists manage to sharpen their collaborations to perfection. The album is rough and chilling while being very musically colorful, ferocious, and fun while being authentic and uncompromising. We will hear a lot about Jae Skeese in the upcoming years.

47. Jadasea – LOOKALIVE!

Jadasea – LOOKALIVE! cover

Jadasea released a great album that feels more like his personal journal. Throughout the album, you will understand the unpleasantries he went through, but you will also learn what it took to get him back on his feet. The fact that Jadasea is an amazing lyricist is not a secret, but on this project he still managed to surprise us and make it slightly different from any other before. You can feel the growth he went through; you can also feel that this is not a place where he will stop, so let’s see what Jadasea has in store for us in the future.

44. Xp The Marxman – The Marxman

Xp The Marxman – The Marxman cover

XP The Marxman is a rapper we are cheering for. He releases so many high-quality projects every year, innovates strict boom bap, collaborates with talented rappers and producers, and on top of that, he planned a European tour for this year. The Marxman was our favorite of his last year’s projects. The album is a perfect starting point for those of you who have not had a chance to listen to the rapper yet.

43. LORD JAH-MONTE OGBON & Twit One – Dis Tew Much

LORD JAH-MONTE OGBON & Twit One – Dis Tew Much cover

LORD JAH-MONTE OGBON and producer Twit One collaborated on Dis Tew Much. Over the last three years, the rapper has released over ten albums, the most well-known of which is probably Beautifully Black, produced by Navy Blue. We have to say that Dis Tew Much is up there with his best work. You can expect beautiful productions with a minimum of the drums, flavors of jazz, the rapper’s biting voice, and amazing lyrics.

Markus Da Indigod & YL – Nowdays, Shit Changed cover

As this list has probably already suggested, YL is one of our favorite artists, and we believe that after listening to any of his works, you will agree with us and understand why that is the case. His voice gently flies and slides through and over the beats with a precision rarely seen. Markus Da Indigod proved to everybody that he knows how to make good beats and is really talented, so we are already excited for his future projects.

41. AKAI SOLO – Body Feeling

AKAI SOLO – Body Feeling cover

Talented rapper and producer from Brooklyn AKAI SOLO introduced himself to wider audience with his album True Sky (produced by Navy Blue). Before the rapper’s big record, Spirit Roaming, renowned label Backwoodz Studios prepared an appetizer for us in the form of the Body Feeling EP. This EP is not just a tease; Body Feeling stands on its own two legs and shows the rapper’s undeniable talent.
