NEWS OF THE WEEK
Every year we cannot wait on date when Alchemist announces who he will be working with this year. His albums are little hip-hop Christmas every time and we are grateful for his relentless productivity. Last year we got The Elephant Man’s Bones (w/ Roc Marciano), Continuance (w/ Curren$y) and The Alchemist Sandwich. But now we are already in the second half of February so let’s stop looking back and start looking to the future.
Producer joints his forces with rapper Larry June and released a clip for the track 60 Days, pilot single from their upcoming album. Album will be most likely named The Great Escape and both artists were teasing us about it since last August, when Alchemist produced track Breakfast in Monaco for Larry’s solo project Spaceships of The Blade. Legendary producer shared his excitement from the album via Twitter and we cannot wait, expectations are high but there is no chance that Alchemist could disappoint us.
NEWS
Do you know who the Draft Dodger is?
Rapper Koncept Jack$on and producer Sadhugold belongs in between the most unique artists on the current scene. Their music feels like complete chaos, chaos that they are able to control very well. So, it made us very happy when they released joint track Lacienigga Boulevard about a month ago but that is not all, rapper released a clip for new track Swarthy & Dutch from their upcoming album Draft Dodger which is supposed to be released by the end of March. Draft Dodgers is an insulting name for people which are dodging their required service in the army.
Hit-Boy is a multi-genre master
Musiq Soulchild comes back after few years with new album Victims & Villains. Album is completely produced by Hit-Boy, and we are very excited for this collaboration. As you might know, Hit-Boy defines sound of new era of rap, he can do boom bap or trap productions and that is apparently not enough for him because he plans to produce an R&B album. Soulchild is a great singer, so this combination makes us very happy. The album will be released on March 10.

Ransom and Craven will direct again
Ransom and Nicholas Craven tested their chemistry multiple times already, especially during their series Director’s Cut Scene. After more then 2 years they are coming back with another part of this gem. We cannot with for this collaboration because as majority of you already probably knows, Ransom or Craven never miss. Every single piece of their discography is shinning gem about which is hard to forget and what we expect is that this part of the series will be as good as previous parts.

BEST RELEASES
Ty Farris – No Cosign Just Cocaine 5
Series No Cosign Just Cocaine by Ty Farris will be one for history books. First part was released back in 2018 and now, five years later we get No Cosign Just Cocaine 5 AKA The Final Sniff. Every saga should have an epic finally and if you know at least a little bit about Ty Farris you know that he never disappoints. Last chapter has everything what rap album in 2023 needs. Ty Farris comes out with his complex, mature lyrics with no signs of glorification, flawless performance behind the mic and first class beats by the best producers on the scene. Raperovi patří všechen respekt. No clip was released for the album, so we are attaching a video for the song Pain For Ya Vein.
phiik & Lungs – Another Planet 4
If you never heard about these two before, get ready for absolutely unique experience. Both phiik and Lungs are one of the most unique rappers on a current scene. Their precise flows, crazy texts full of variable references, sophisticated wordplay and big portion of absurdity will blow you away. We cannot forget about minimalistic productions by LoneSword (Lungs), which produced whole album. On top of all that in between the guests are AKAI SOLO, Wavy Bagels and Fatboi Sharif. We will not get similar project through out the whole year.
CRIMEAPPLE – Kilómetros
CRIMEAPPLE released one of his older projects Kilómetros for streaming platforms. Apparently, he likes Czech Republic since he called one of his tracks “Prada in Prague”. Through out the whole runtime of the album, is followed by amazing jazz melodies which slide down to even melancholic sounds every now and then during which CRIMEAPPLE sounds absolutely masterfully. The only guest on the album is Juga-Naut which we do not mind because he has a lot to offer.
ANKHLEJOHN & LOOK DAMIEN! – THE DEAD DON’T DIE
We could already hear the collaboration of these two on album HONEY SWEETER THAN BLOOD where they were also accompanied by rapper Da$h. This album is another prove that there is a real chemistry beween these two. LOOK DAMIEN! cooked great chaotic experimental productions as he usually does and on top of that this time around enriched his beats with vocal samples which fit perfectly with ANKHLEJOHN’s style and amplify the whole experience.
Josiah the Gift & SB11 – God Is Gracious
Josiah proved himself to be a great rapper that is keep growing. Producer SB11 prepared soulful productions to accompany rich introspective and well though through lyrics. Josiah is changing his flows which forces listeners to keep listening. For the entertaining value of the whole project is also responsible producer SB11 which picked amazing samples that will not allow you to stop listening. Let’s say that artists created an exordinary mix of great music. No clip was released for the album, so we are attaching a video for the song Pray 4 Me.
