NEWS OF THE WEEK
After the long 24 years we finally got a new album from duo Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli) last year. Album No Fear of Time was produced by Madlib and was exclusively released on the streaming service Luminary. We will let you be the judge if the album stands up to the high expectations or not.
Rapper Talib Kweli and producer Madlib will release album Liberation 2 on 6th of March. Liberation 2 is a follow up on album Liberation from 2006. Same as No Fear of Time, Liberation 2 will be released exclusively via Luminary. In between the guests of will be Q-Tip, Wildchild, Roc Marciano, Westside Gunn and Mac Miller. On the pilot track After These Messages, followed up by the clip is featured by Amani Kweli, son of the Talib
What did Talib himself reveal about the album? “The project is expansive in concept but tight in its substance and approach. The materialism and debauchery that is stereotypically associated with hip-hop has lost some of its luster. Madlib and I have been consistent in our messaging. Never has there been a better time for such honest, message-driven music that pays tribute to the sounds that came before us.”

Benny The Butcher and Hit-Boy back at it again
Benny The Butcher already announced his new album which is named Everybody Can’t Go where he once again comes together with producer Hit-Boy. We could already hear their collaboration on the album Burden of Proof from 2020 so we roughly know what to expect. Artists already shared a short snippet of their upcoming album on their Twitter. Hit-Boy has definitely one of the best modern productions with some elements of trap, boom bap and jazz and Benny always delivers uncompromising coke rap. Chemistry between those two is undeniable so we cannot wait.

Willie The Kid does not disappoint
TCP and VDON have already couple of joint projects, projects like Deutsche Marks (which 3rd part was released last year) or album Blue Notes. Second part of Blue Notes, but also the older one, can be listened to and purchased exclusively on the Willie’s web. On the new album is featuring ANKHLEJOHN, Ransom, Flee Lord and more. ANKHLEJOHN is one of our favourite artists. His unique taste for productions, flows and sharp presentation makes from his music inimitable experience. Now on 17th of February artist will release his new album called THE DEAD DON’T DIE produced by LOOK DAMIEN!. Talented producer already collaborated with rapper on HONEY SWEETER THAN BLOOD which we putted as one of the best albums of 2021. New album will be released also on vinyl through label FXCK RXP and you can already listen to the pilot single I Miss You.

- Album SPIRIDON by rapper Starker and producer Theravada was digitally released on Bandcamp and can be purchased for 60$.
- Talented rapper Che Noir will release her new album in March. Her last project The Last Remnants was released last year in October.
- Finally, we will get a new album from rapper Maxo called Even God Has A Sense Of Humor. Album will be released on 22nd of February, you can find the pilot track here.
- August Fanon announced joint album with YUNGMORPHEUS on his Twitter.
- Tha God Fahim released track Food For Thought from the upcoming album Iron Bull, which will be released on 24th of February.

Jadasea & Laron – The Corner: Vol. 1
Talented rapper from UK Jadesea amazed us last year with his album LOOKALIVE! and by his newest album The Corner: Vol. 1 he just certified his unique talent and the fact that he is moving forward as an artist. This whole album was produced by Laron from New York, so you’ll get 26 beautiful beats full of the samples used in very unique way. Album is roughly 60 minutes long through out which will Jadesea intrigues you with his emotional lyrics. On top of that in between the guests are guys like Sideshow, MIKE or Wiki which are giving nice final touches to the whole project. There were already few clips released for the album, we will give you the newest one.
Hus KingPin – A Poem in Ten Books
Trendsetter and the guy who moves the whole underground rap in new direction Hus KingPin releases a lot of projects every year and that is why we did not have to wait too long for his first project of this year. A Poem in Ten Books is hard-hitting album which will make happy pretty much every rap fan. Track Tony is like artist pulled it out of the golden Wu-Tang Clan era and inserted in nowadays world while track Dark Poetry – Macapella Version is the shining example of Hus’s style. Unfortunately, there was no clip released alongside of the album so let’s listen and watch Situations.
Sly Moon – The Ghost Of Ungar Vol. 1
One of our favorite British artists Sly Moon reminded us about his existence once again roughly 6 months after his last project. As it usually is, you can expect slow alternative productions enriched by elements of jazz which have been created by Sly Moon himself. Sly’s guests on this album are members of the Cult Of The Damned (Sniff and Salar). Rapper is going through the motions of the beats with his phlegmatic flow and great lyrics. It is the style that grew to our hearts and what we appreciate even more is how much different Sly is compared to the rest of the British scene. Together with the album we got clip for the track It’s Not A Game.
Brainorchestra – It Means A Lot
Producer and rapper Brainorchestra returned with his new EP It Means A lot. Project contains 8 tracks and on top of that instrumental versions of each track. During the EP rapper reflects on the release of Big Brain and how impactful this release was on his carreer and also how grateful he is for that. Brainorchestra is a master in his field, making great jazz productions in which he himself sounds absolutely flawless. This is a EP that will be beloved by the fans of Hip Hop. OBIJUAN – MANGROVE MAZE
Very productive and talented OBIJUAN returns with his new EP, which is exclusive available on Bandcamp. Song to which you can listen free of charge is SLUM EXOSYSTEM. Whole EP was produced by WINO WILLY. OBIJUAN gained our attention last year when he released about 9 projects and all of them perfect. His albums are very unique and definitely not for everybody but for us, it makes us very happy when somebody does things differently and tries to push the boundaries. This EP is another gem that OBIJUAN can happily add to his stunning resume.
