NEWS OF THE WEEK
It always makes us so happy when two amazing artists joint their forces and release a project together but the collaboration, we prepared for you today is completely unique. We get an album from DJ Muggs, Madlib and Meyhem Lauren, album will be called Champagne For Breakfast and is apparently almost finished.
Producer DJ Muggs and rapper Meyhem Lauren already brought us three joint projects. On this album, they decided to invite on board legendary producer Madlib so Meyhem will get a chance to spit bars into the beats from two one of the most significant artists on a rap history. DJ Muggs shared on his instagram that he and Madlib are putting finishing touches on their album, so the release date is probably just around the corner.

Styles P isn’t done with music yet
New York veteran that started his carreer in 1994 has so far released 15 solo albums and few collaborations. Styles P delivered his 15th album last week (album is called Penultimate: A Calm Wolf Is Still A Wolf) and even though he is on a scene for almost 20 years, he still knows what’s up and can still orientate himself in a wild waters of todays scene, accept new ways of doing music while still keep his music very unique. Styles P would like to release one more album before he retires from the music, and we cannot wait.
Quelle Chris will amaze you
Quelle is one of our favorite artists and in our opinion, there is nobody on a whole scene who does same music as he does. His album Deathfame is one of the best albums released in 2022. Quelle is apparently amazing live as well so we cannot wait until he comes to Europe. For now, we can listen to the recordings of the series Mello Sessions Live Recording where he performed Alive Aint Always Living a How Could They Love Something Like Me.

Eto & Futurewave – Dead Poets
Long time coming album Dead Poets is finally here. Rapper from Rochester, Eto was teasing us about his colab with Futurewave for couple of months, and now their joint project finally came out under the label FXCK RXP. You will find 12 atmospherical tracks and some talented guests like Daniel Son or G4 Jag. Producer from Toronto accomplished his task and delivered a first class beats which got him a collaboration with Boldy James on album Mr. Ten08 last year.
CRIMEAPPLE – El Cantante
Unstoppable CRIMEAPPLE delivered 6 albums last year including 2 instrumentals and on top of that another 2 EPs. His last project from the last year Kilómetros: A Traveler’s Guide is only available on his official website. Rapper seems to be still very hungry, so it is no surprise we have got an album El Cantante already. His high cadency of the releases does not hurt the quality of the projects and CRIMEAPPLE sounds very relaxed and newest album is great from start to finish.
Ty Farris & Trox – Welcome 2 Room 39
Ty Farris announced that he will release fifth part of his series No Cosign Just Cocaine in February, so nobody was expecting another project from him at the end of January but here we are with Welcome 2 Room 39 produced by Trox. Artists follow up on their previous joint works on Room 39 (2017) and Room 39 Part 2 (2019). High standard of their previous work is still here, album feels compact, productions are amazing, and rapper’s lyrics does not have a competition.In between guests will appear artists like Rome Streetz and 38 Spesh. Unfortunately there was no accompanying video released alongside of the album, but we can watch clip for the track I Pray.
Tha God Fahim & Camoflague Monk – Dark Shogunn Assassin
One week ago, we got The God Fahim’s first EP of 2023 on which he joints his talents with producer NicoJP. Now just few days later rapper delivered short projects called Dark Shogunn Assassin. Only 3 tracks all produced by Camoflague Monk. On a first track is featured Estee Nack. Unfortunately there was no accompanying video released alongside of the album, but we can watch clip for the track Dump Tour.
Fatboi Sharif & Roper Williams – Planet Unfaithful
Fatboi makes unique projects on a regular basis, in his music rapper creates dystopian worlds into which he through the atmospherical productions intertwines his very well worked through lyrics and catches ear of a lister with his pulling voice. His newest EP Planet Unfaithful is not an exception. If you do not like Fatboi Sharif, this album will not change your mind but if you are looking for something original and unique then you will be over the moon from the album. Production has been taken care of by Roper Williams and in between the guests you will find names like E L U C I D and Bruiser Wolf. No music video has been released for the album, but the duo has a video for their older track Fly Pelican.
