NEWS OF THE WEEK
Westside Gunn is one of the most influential rappers on the current scene and his notoriously known Griselda Records is far away from the little underground label it has been. Rapper himself then released at least one part of his iconic mixtape series Hitler Wears Hermes ever since 2014 (well, expect the 2020) and now we got the ultimate end of the series with HWH 10.
Westside Gunn concentrates not just on rap but also and more importantly on connecting and leading different artists. All the experiences he gained over the years came to fruition here and HWH 10 is another showcase of how undeniable impact rapper has on over all culture on the scene. We did not even dare to dream about the collaboration’s rapper was able to put together on this album. It will be the best if we just show you the names and then you run and listen to the whole thing, so here we go:

DJ Muggs and Jay Worthy takes us back to 1995
Producer DJ Muggs and rapper Jay Worthy released first single from their upcoming album What They Hittin’ 4 which will be released on 11th of November. Artists recently also released track Check In from Muggs’s upcoming album Soul Assassins 3 and that showed us that they have a perfect chemistry so we cannot wait on What They Hittin’ 4.
Drake and 21 Savage will release their album next week
Drake and 21 Savage last week announced their album Her Loss and it was supposed to be released on 28th of October (release date was dropped in middle of the musical clip for Jimmy Cooks) but it had to been postponed because Noah “40” Shebib (takes care of the master and mix) got covid so new release date for the album is now 4th of November.

Willie The Kid & V DON – Deutsche Marks 3
There are not many artists in a rapgame that have a same chemistry as Willie The Kid & V DON. They already gave us gems like Deutsche Marks (2017), Deutsche Marks 2 (2020) and let’s not forget about Blue Notes (2018). Five years after the first part of this DM series, artists deliver it’s highly anticipated third instalment and it did not disappoint, we got a first-class cold rap. Producer V DON delivered perfect beats which are combining danger and luxury and Willie killed everything with his unique wordplay by which we are still fascinated. Add the feature list full of the first class rappers like Eto, Ransom, Abe Linx, Lord Apex and Rome Streetz and it is already an absolute necessity for everybody.
Cities Aviv – Working Title For The Album Secret Waters
Rapper/producer from Memphis Cities Aviv already released album Man Plays the Horn earlier this year, album that has no comparison in a range it covers, and it is almost unbelievable that rapper was able to produce another great album in a same year. Working Title For The Album Secret Waters is shorter, more compact album. Expect beatiful beats full of amazing samples and Aviv’s original rap which is personal but intriguing. Rapper did not release any clip for the album as of yet so let’s watch Dimming from his Raised For A Better View (2018).
Fatboi Sharif & noface – Preaching In Havana
Preaching In Havana is probably the most unique music we heard so far this year. Album is bringing us to the post-apocalyptic world full of hopelessness and brutal scenes. Fatboi’s unique use of his voice paints paintings of the nowadays rotten world that’s falling apart. In his lyrics he combines mysticism and chaos of digital millennium, where emotions are being used solely for transactions in the invisible never-ending web of big corporations. While listening we remembered cult classics movies like New Rose Hotel (1998) and Demonlover (2002) which is a praise of the highest level.
Big Kahuna OG & Graymatter – Metal Gear Solid
Willie the Kid & V DON is not the only duo with a perfect chemistry which released another great album. Rapper Big Kahuna OG and producer Graymatter follows up on albums Ocean Grown (2016), Scooby Snax (2017) and Trainman Chronicles (2019). Rapper released his most recent album (Blockavelli 2) barely a month ago but that did not stop him from another perfect performance on a mic and we do not need to talk about how great Graymatter’s beats are, if we are honest, we do not expect anything less from him. On top of all that add guests like JAH-MONTE OGBON, Fly Anakin and 3wayslim and you face something that you cannot say no to. Release was not accompanied by any clip but video for Draco Slide from album Strainman Chronicles is more than good substitute.
Your Old Droog – The Yodfather
Ukrainian-born American rapper Your Old Droog already released three solo EPs this year (YOD Wave, Yod Stewart and Yodney Dangerfield). This time artist stylise himself into the Godfather from the book of Mario Puzo and movies of Francis Ford Coppola and brings an offer that you cannot refuse. Beats were taken care of by Sadhu Gold, Fortes, K-Nite 13, Madlib, Playa Haze, Theravada & Wino Willy. And YOD? Well, he once again brings well thought lyrics with quotable punchlines. There is no official video for album so far, therefore here we serve you Jew Tang from album Jewelry.
