Today’s news feed is filled to the brim, Westside Gunn reconsidered his plans for this year and decided to close off his legendary series Hitler Wears Hermes with it’s tenth instalment and we got some details on that. MIKE brings us rap Christmas and Boldy James will release an album with some unheard productions by J Dilla. What albums and music videos has been released last week? NEWS OF THE WEEK
Westside Gunn belongs in-between the most influential rappers on a current scene. His notoriously known Griselda Records is not just little underground label anymore but nowadays sets trends to the whole wave of artists. WSG already released album Peace ”Fly” God earlier this year and teased project Michelle Records that was supposed to be released on Halloween but rapper reconsider his strategy and decided to finish his legendary series Hitler Wears Hermes first.
We got a double album Hitler Wears Hermes 8 that was supposed to end the whole series, but rapper did not wanted to finish with number 8 respectively 9, on a top of that first part was released in 2012 so 28th of October will be released album Hitler Wears Hermes 10 which will round up all the numbers. In between the guests and producers, we can expect names like Black Star, Run The Jewels, Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, Ghostface Kills, DJ Drama, Doe Boy, Swizz Beatz, RZA and The Alchemist and let us tell you that we cannot wait for the release of this massive album.

MIKE brings rap Christmas
It is already more then a year since talented rapper MIKE released his last album Disco! which made it to our TOP 50 best rap albums of 2021. After single Makeda that was released earlier this year, we we highly expecting new album which is finally coming. Rapper announced this album on a day of his 24th birthday, album will be named Beware of the Monkey and will be released on 21st of December 2022 and for now you can listen to the pilot track called nuthin i can do is wrng.
Boldy James and J Dilla
There is no bigger production legend then deceased J Dilla from Detroit. Even though we are not necessary a fan of posthumous albums, we cannot wait for this one. Talented and very productive rapper Boldy James announced album Drug Dilla that will have productions from J Dilla that were not released ever before. Rapper also said that we can expect release very soon, maybe even this year?
Willie tells us about interesting collaboration
We cannot wait for Deutsche Marks 3 from rapper Willie The Kid and producer V DON. Duo released pilot track called Heather Grey 2 Ft. Eto with atmospherical visual but Willie does not take any time off and on his twitter already announced collaboration with Spanish Ran. We do not know any details as of yet but producer from Bronx does not make a bad beat, so we expect perfect grimy neo boom bap album.

Ka – Languish Arts a Woeful Studies
Ka belongs in between the best rappers of all time. He already manages to give us eight projects each with unique concept. Rapper released his ninth album Languish Arts and tenth album Woeful Studies in middle of a September which was only available on his own website. After the month albums were finally released on all of the streaming services where everybody can listen to it. Albums are again absolutely perfect, rapper calmly raps with the background of minimalistic beats his very well written lyrics. This time Ka does not take us to antic Greece or feudal Japan but takes us straight to his neighbourhood. Albums has 20 tracks and between the guests are Chuck Strangers, Joi and GoneToHeaven and it is absolute necessity for every fan of rap.
Mach-Hommy & Tha God Fahim – Duck CZN: Tiger Style
It is not even two months since rappers Mach-Hommy & The God Fahim released their joint project Dollar Menu 4 and now they came back with album Duck CZN: Tiger Style that follows up on album DUCK CZN: Chinese Alphabet from 2018. We can again expect minimalistic sampled beats, unusual lyrics and perfect flows of both rappers. Their mutual chemistry and personal rap do not have any competition. Beats were taken care of by talented SadhuGold and Nicholas Craven. There was unfortunately released no clip alongside the album so here is video for the track Jesse James.
Mavi – Laughing So Hard, It Hurts
Rapper from North Caroline, ex member of the group KILLSWITCH releases his second solo studio album Laughing so Hard, It Hurts. New album is very personal, rapper really open himself and brings us melancholic personal testimonies. Carefully picked productions are great. Some of the producers are Wulf Morpheus, Dylvinci, Kevin Long or Ovrkast. Praise to the album gave even The Alchemist and that says something about the project on its own.
Rahiem Supreme & WiFiGawd – YUNG $AKS 5TH
We cannot remember Rap Weekly article where we were not talking or recommend something from rapper Rahiem Supreme. Talent from Washington D.C. is very productive and basically every week releases new clip or EP and now we finally got album YUNG $AKS 5TH that was completely produced by WiFiGawd. If you want something new, original and experimental, this album is exactly for you. Artists created very colourful palette of sounds and concepts that is full of original ideas. Rahiem Supreme behind the mic is absolutely comfortable and he flawlessly connects reality with fiction, charisma and humor in his stories.
Smoke DZA – 10,000 Hrs
Veteran from New York released over 13 albums in last three years and does not seem to be planning on slowing down anytime soon. Name of the newest project 10.000 Hrs is really fitting here. Rapper is consistent with his releases so you know what you can expect. Guests on the album are The Game, Ransom, Curren$y and Steven Young so either way you will not get bored.
