NEWS OF THE WEEK
A$AP Rocky’s album is still miles away but fans of the rapper from Harlem will get an early Christmas present when new instalment into the well known racing series Need for Speed will be released on 2nd of December 2022 on PC, PS5 and XBOX SERIES S|X. New instalment with subtitle Unbound will feature A$AP no as just small cameo but from the first trailer it looks like he will be a major character in a whole game and will be given car DTM-inspired Mercedes-Benz 190E EVO — complete with A$AP license plate, AWGE branding and with Testing front wheels. On a top of that initial trailer released by Electronic Arts features rapper’s new track Shittin Me.
„I mean A$AP’s kind of a trendsetter in both fashion and music, and he’s also a bit of a rebel, and that is kind of part of the Need for Speed vibe,” Criterion’s creative director Kieran Crimmins told IGN. „So, it totally made sense to put him in the game and have a game mode that represented what he was about and also give a cool event for players to play as well.”

Willie The Kid & V DON in Germany for the third time
Waiting is over, finally after 5 years after the first instalment and 2 years after the second one we are getting new part of the series Deutsche Marks from rapper Willie the Kid and producer V Don. This connection work as well as one could imagine, and both of the previous projects belong to Hall of Fame. We even talked about Deutsche Marks couple weeks back in our Album of the Week. New album will be released on 28th of October and you can see the official cover above.
Sadhugold & al.divino and couple of joint projects
Rappers and producers Sadhugold and al.divino are the artists which moves the boundaries of underground rap little bit further with every project. This week both artists came together and released joined instrumental project SADHU X DIVINO: SCARY HOURS VOL.1. Before the year ends, we can expect three more instrumental projects from this duo, and it will all end with full blown rap album and let us tell you we cannot wait.
Theravada announces album
Producer and rapper from New York Theravada already has a very productive year but he does not seem to be slowing down and announces a new project. After albums MY OWN 2 HANDS and Up Against the Wall; A Degree Of Lunacy we cannot wait for Strange Voice. So, circle 17th of October in your calendars, Theravada is coming again.

Open Mike Eagle – a tape called component system with the auto reverse
Open Mike Eagle, charismatic rapper, comedian, and moderator of podcasts What Had Happened Was and Secret Skin after two years releases new project. a tape called component system with the auto reverse is everything what could fans of underground legend hope for. Open Mike Eagle returns with unique concepts for the tracks and one of the tracks is even dedicated to MF DOOM, great humor and perfect lyrics. In between the producers and guests, we can find many talents, we can mention names like Child Actor, Diamond D, Quelle Chris, Madlib or Armand Hammer. You must listen to this if you are a fan of unique, original rap.
DJ MUGGS & Crimeapple – Sin Cortar
Producer DJ MUGGS and rapper Crimeapple are releasing their third album together. After the albums Medallo and Cartagena comes Sin Cortar, but this time it is little bit different. Crimeapple raps in Spanish this time around and proves us that he can conquer MUGGS’s beats even in a different language then just English. Whole album has a very inhospitable vibe of central America and brings a breath of fresh air to Latin hip hop.
Cormega – The Realness II
This is how it is done. Cormega belongs in between the most legendary rappers of all time. Ever since his debut The Realness from the year 2001 rapper holds the bar for himself very high through out the whole time and manages to connect to the 20 years old project in amazing fashion. The Realness II is amazing. Member of the group The Firm came with introspective and very well-written album that builds upon its predecessor from 2001 and brings something new which is still dope even in a now days. Highlight of the whole album is track Glorious featuring Nas and produced by Alchemist. There was unfortunately released no clip alongside the album so here is clip for the track Journey from album Born And Raised.
Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon & Twit One – Dis Tew Much
Dis Tew Much is a joint project of rapper Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon and producer Twit One. Rapper managed to release over 10 albums over the last three years, the most famous one of those probably being Beautifully Black produced by Navy Blue. We have to say that Dis Tew Much definitely belongs between his best work. You can expect beatiful productions with minimum of the drums with flavors of jazz, rapper’s biting voice and amazing lyrics. You can buy a vinyl from label FXCK RXP. Artists did not give us any clip for this album so let’s listen and watch Calendaer Counters from album The Black Mobius which was completely produced by earlier mentioned Sadhugold.
Jay NiCE & Machacha – Heightened Senses
One thing that you definitely cannot say about rapper from Atlanta is that he would be lazy, he gave us album Strips last week which just closely did not make it to our TOP 5 albums of the last week, but this week just cannot cut talented rapper short anymore and we recommend you his new project Heightened Senses with everything we got. Jay NiCE joint his talents with producer Machacha and by doing so follows up on his last year album A Stream of Consciousness. Between the guests on this album are Big Cheeko, Kuji Young, RU$H, Mickey Diamonds and Pro Dillinger. Let’s look at the clip A Crisis of Leadership from rapper’s last year album.
Sleep Sinatra & Ohbliv – Shadow Self
Last album we picked for you this week is album by rapper from Nebraska called Sleep Sinatra and producer Ohbliv. You can expect soulful productions and perfect introspective lyrics. Whole album has personal feeling to it, like rapper really open himself and is very nice to listen to. Between the guests on the album are Archibald SLIM, Aakeem Eshu, J.U.S and Obijuan. There was no clip released alongside of the album so let’s listen to track Asylum.
