Kaseem Ryan aka Ka was born in New York City in 1972. Rapper, producer, and firefighter comes from Brownsville in Brooklyn. We can confidently place him in between the best rappers of all time. Since Ka started releasing his work, he putted together eight projects, each with unique theme. This week rapper added two new projects into his library. First one called Languish Arts and second with a name Woeful Studies and you can buy them on his website.
If Ka continues with the trend, he established with his past releases we can expect these projects at the streaming services within two weeks. All together rapper gave us 20 tracks which basically all of them has been produced by Ka himself. Guests are Chuck Strangers, Joi and GoneToHeaven. Rapper also released clip for the track Ascension from Languish Arts. Two projects from one of the best rappers in one day? Can this year get any better?
News
Bone chilling short movie
Rapper from Memphis in Tennessee Lukah is one of those artists which should be watch with extra care. There is very small number of rappers which are able to combine uncompromising cold-blooded style with complex lyricism. You will get suck in by rap, which is painting of the cruel, brutal world. Lukah released his new project (about which you can read when you scroll down) but before release of that he gave us short film for his last year album Why Look Up, God’s In The Mirror. Officinal synopsis of the movie is „A tale of deception and resurrection, Why Look Up, God’s In The Mirror is a musical film bringing to vision South Memphis rapper Lukah’s album of the same name.“ This little project is absolute necessity for everybody.

Ab-Soul finally releases his new project
Ab-Soul which works with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) from 2007 is one of the most respected rappers of the last decade. His last project (Do What Thou Wilt.) was released back in 2016 and ever since that we have been on hiatus. But now finally rapper released track Moonshooter and alongside of that TDE announced that Ab’s new album is finished.
Best releases
Lukah – Raw Extractions
As we already mentioned above, Lukah released new album. Raw Extractions is album which is perfect without flaws. Lukah is less cold blooded, but his lyrics are on a higher level. Rapper talks about interesting topics, each track has its own concept and some rhymes are just breathtaking. Track Rare Formulaz is on a top of the one of the best posse cuts of the year. Between the guests on this track are Jason Da Hater, Cities Aviv, Dame Mufasa, Suni Katz, Deener, The Derelick, J Royal, Yasin Allah aka Milk and Fathom 9 and even though that track is 10 minutes long, it is anything but boring. Unfortunately, Lukah did not release any accompanying clip for the album so give a look to Shutters from When The Black Hand Touches You.
Vic Spencer & August Fanon – Psychological Cheat Sheet 3
Vic Spencer, rapper from Chicago releases several projects every year which hold itself up to the high standard. His last year project Spencer For Higher 4 was one of our TOP 50 of 2021 and rapper is not slowing down in 2022. Same as on previous installments rapper joint his forces with producer from Dallas August Fanon. Fanon’s jazz productions perfectly fit Vic’s very open and personal confessions. Each of 14 tracks represents one day spend in Grant Hospital to where was rapper sended by his aunt. Rapper this event already mentioned on Psychological Cheat Sheet 2 in the track 14 Days at Grand Hospital.
Pink Siifu & Real Bad Man – Real Bad Flights
Pink Siifu is one of the most talented rappers on the current scene. His personal style, uniqueness and original desire for experimenting shines from every track. His newest album Real Bad Flights produced by Real Bad Man is less experimentation then last year’s Gumbo’!. Rapper himself described project as big rap compilation. Album is full of colourful pallet of different artists and each of them is using their room to the fullest. Album was released in two different versions, one shorter was released on the streaming services and longer with few additional tracks can be purchased on Bandcamp. We definitely recommend the longer version.
Josiah The Gift & True Cipher – TOGO
Rapper from Jersey Josiah The Gift started to be active roughly in 2018 and since then already released a few great projects but we dare to say that TOGO is his best work to date. True Cipher, producer from New York delivered rough hard-hitting sampled beats which perfectly fits with rapper’s style. Guests on this album are Mickey Diamond, Napoleon da Legend, Allah Preme and King Micah the Infamous. There was no clip released for the album so feel free to listen and watch clip to Conqueror from album Iron Mic.
Rhys Langston – Grapefruit Radio
Rhys Langston is doing unique rap that is not for everybody. Thanks to his exceptional complicated lyrics, unique pick of producers and original concepts rapper is really an original artist. He is the closest to The Koreatown Oddity and R.A.P. Ferreira. Distinctive humor is definitely not missing on his newest album. All the tracks on the album have been recorded and mixed by Rhys himself.
