Best releases

Ty Farris & Sebb Bash – Fluorescent Mud

Ty Farris & Sebb Bash – Fluorescent Mud cover

Veteran from Detroit Ty Farris is rapper with clean record of unprecedented quality through out his whole career (four-part series No Cosign, Just Cocaine is one of the best things you can listen to). His new album Fluorescent Mud where he colaborates with Swiss producer Sebb Bash brings something new and does not sound like anything what we heard from Ty before. Sebb’s production evokes rough atmosphere of the streets covered in aura of mysticism. Project confirms that rapper is one of the most experienced on the scene and knows what he is doing. Unfortunately, there was no video released along the album so we will share with you video for one of out favourite tracks from No Cosign, Just Cocaine 4 called Brands of High Quality.

ShrapKnel – Metal Lung

Backwoodz Studioz is label beloved by many fans. Home of billy woods and ELUCID releases amazing music on regular bases. This time we will talk about duo ShrapKnel comprised of Curly Castro and PremRoc that released their new album Metal Lung. Album is a poetry for all the fans of experimental rap and Backwoodz released another gem right after Aethiopes by billy woods and I Told Bessie by ELUCID earlier this year. If you have a few spare minutes, definitely sink into the chaotic world where beats sound like creaking metals.

alejandrito argeñal – Un Sonido Inconfundible

Producer from Nicaragua alejandrito argeñal released his latest project Un Sonido Inconfundible where he tries to encourage the discovery of the Latin American musical histories and to further integrate the Latin American influence and potential into the contemporary Hip-Hop movement. He does that perfectly and his beats are quite often accompanied by amazing rap. Rap was taken care of by Ca$ablanca, Grey Phox, Jay NiCE, Meph Luciano, Nowaah The Flood, Starker and Tha God Fahim. You can find it on Bandcamp.

Larry June – Spaceships on the Blade

Larry June – Spaceships on the Blade cover

His already this year’s second album called Spaceships on the Blade released rapper from California Larry June. After his collaboration on 2 P’z In A Pod with rapper Jay Worthy which was more uncompromising, Spaceships on the Blade feels more chilled, more summery you could say but do not be fooled by this, Larry delivers hit after hit with great atmosphere and a lot of creativity. Album works as a great preparation for Larry’s forthcoming record with The Alchemist.
